Flashback Friday. . . Bridal Showers

I was so lucky to have several people offer to throw me wedding showers!  The showers were the first big events leading up to our wedding and they made me anticipate our wedding day even more.  I loved getting to see all my friends and family so many times leading up to the wedding.

My first bridal shower was hosted by my cousins, Patti and Cathy.  It was at Cathy's house for a Sunday brunch.  So many of my friends and family came and I was overwhelemed by how generous everyone was.  Shawn and I got a ton of stuff off our registries.

A couple weeks later, my friends, Jenny and Kara, threw me a lingerie shower.  I only invited my closest friends and family to this one.  So I think there were about 10 or 12 of us there.  It's a little more embarrassing opening up a bunch of lingerie in front of people, but Kara and Jenny did so well planning we all had a great time.

Finally, for our last shower, our friends Courtney and Grant threw us a couple's shower.  I was excited for Shawn to finally be able to attend one of my showers and I made him be the center of attention this time by having him open all the gifts. 

Of course, we did have a bachelor(ette) parties as well, but I'll save that for another Flashback Friday post.
