First Day in the Toddler Room

Emily started her transition to the toddler room today.  After her dr. appt, I brought her over to school and dropped her off.  Let's just say she wasn't so excited to be in a new room.  She cried as soon as I let go of her and was still crying when I left about 10 minutes later.  :(  They assured me this was normal and said it usually takes about 2 weeks for her to fully adjust to the new room and new teachers.  I called a couple of hours after I dropped her off and they said she did continue to cry on and off, but was doing much better.  Shawn picked her up today and he said she just started bawling as soon as she saw him.  They recommended we not move her back and forth between the toddler room and infant room, but instead make a clean break from the infant room.  They think Emily was just too attached to her teachers in there and that switching back and forth will just make it harder.  I'm really hoping each day continues to get better and better!  Seeing her upset when I drop her off is very hard for this mommy to deal with!
