The second weekend in December, Emily and I went to Austin for her first out of town soccer tournament. She had such a good time hanging out with all her teammates and they sure played well on the field. The won all 3 of their match play games and made it to the semis. Despite the cold and wind that came in from a cold front, they won that game too. That sent them to the final game. They were supposed to play it in Austin at 6 pm on Sunday, but it was so cold and not to mention late, considering we still had a 3.5 hour drive home after. Since they were set to play her coach's other 09 team in the finals, it was decided that it would be played the following Thursday night in Dallas instead. Emily's team pulled out the win in that game as well and walked away with the gold medal. Emily had a great tournament. She scored 2 goals.
