Weekend Trip to Nashville

Shawn and I took a quick weekend trip to Nashville at the end of February.  Even though we were only there for 3 days, we were able to see all the big Nashville attractions.

We flew out early Friday morning.  It was cold in Nashville, but that didn't keep us from walking around and taking in all the sights.  We got a 2 day pass on the hop-on, hop-off trolley.  This really was the best way to get around and see everything.   After some eating some hot chicken for lunch, we made our way over to the Ryman Auditorium for a tour.  It was really interesting and one of my favorite things we did while in Nashville.

After our tour we hopped back on the trolley and rode the rest of the way through the stops. We didn't get off at any of the others on this day, but it was neat to drive by all the spots and decide where we wanted to get off the next day.

This is a replica of the Parthenon.

We ate dinner at a nice restaurant downtown and ended up calling it an early night after the rain started.

Saturday morning we slept in a bit and then hit the ground running after a quick breakfast.  We started off with a stop at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Once we finished touring it, we walked over to Broadway, which is the main strip of bars.  We popped in a few to have a drink, so they got so packed at night.  It was nice enjoying some of the live music.

We got back on the trolley and rode it over to the Gulch area.  This was high on my list because I wanted to see the Uncommon James store that's owned by Kristin Cavallari.  Before walking to the store, we grabbed a couple drinks from another bar.

That night for dinner we went to a restaurant that had live music as well.

We flew out around lunchtime on Sunday, so we slept in that day and headed to the airport right after breakfast.  Even though it was a quick trip, I'm so glad we went.  Neither of us had ever been to Nashville and I now I feel like we can check it off our bucket list.
