After they came back from their walk we asked them what they wanted to do and Evan begged us to go to the beach this day. He was dying to swim in the ocean. It was a little foggy, but we decided we take our chances anyways. So after breakfast, we made our way to the beach and rented some chairs.
The beach was pretty quiet for the most part and luckily the sun did peek it's head out every so often. The water was freezing, but that didn't stop Evan from swimming. I think he swam for about 4 hours straight! He loved jumping in the waves.
And well Em has never been a big fan of the ocean. She says the saltwater irritates her skin. So she spent a lot of time building sand castles and playing volleyball and football with Shawn and I.
We ate a late lunch at the restaurant by the pool and then took a quick swim in the pool. The boys were tired, so we ended up going back to the room for a bit and they both took a nap.
This was the day that things started being cancelled from the corona virus. The NCAA tournament was cancelled, the whole NBA season was being cancelled. It was crazy! I couldn't stop reading all the news about it.
After a while, Em and I decided to leave the boys behind and take a walk on the beach.
The boys finally woke up and they went and played a round of mini golf before us all meeting back up to go to dinner at a beachside restaurant on the property.
