Em and I were driving home one night and this was our conversation:
Em: "Mommy, I need some water when we get home, I'm so thirsty. I've been talking for years."
Me: "Years?"
Em: "Yeah, I've been talking for a really long time!"
...................................................................................................................
Em: "I'm laughing so hard that I can't stop laughing"
...................................................................................................................
...................................................................................................................
Shawn was getting Em ready for bed one night:
Shawn: "What was your favorite thing to do today?"
Em: "Go to the forest."
Shawn: "When did you do that."
Em: "Last year."
....................................................................................................................
I had just put Em down to bed one night and she comes back out of her room:
Em: "Mommy, there's something wet on my pillow."
Me: "Well that's probably because you just got out of the bath and your hair is wet."
Em doesn't say anything and just walks back in her room and shuts the door. She's going to have to come up with some better excuses to get out of bedtime!
.................................................................................................................................
For some reason Em loves talking about when she will go to high school. She constantly stands on her tip toes on her bathroom stool and says "is this how tall I have to be to go to high school?"
Then the other day she asks:
Em: " How many days until I go to high school?"
Me: "Too many for me to count."
Em: "Well, I can count to 20."
