This past Sunday, we celebrated Evan's baptism. He was baptized at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano. It's the church that I grew up in and also the church Emily was baptized in. My church doesn't do baptisms during mass, but instead in a separate ceremony. Evan happened to be the only baby being baptized this week, which meant we had a private ceremony and it was quick!! Thankfully, Evan was on his best behavior during the ceremony. He "talked" alot, but never cried. He did get everyone laughing when he decided to let out a big burp. :)
Evan wore the same christening outfit that my brother wore when he was baptized. It was a little bit snug on him, but we made it work.
We chose my brother, Kevin, to be Evan's godfather and my cousin, Cathy, to be his godmother.
After the ceremony, we all headed back to our house for dinner. It was when we got back to the house, that Evan decided he was really tired and decided to be fussy. He didn't sleep much in the morning, so I knew it would catch up to him sooner or later. Unfortunately, with 30 or so people at our house, the noise level was pretty high and Evan had a hard time falling asleep. So he spent lots of time crying. :( Poor boy didn't know the party was all for him!
