Baking

Emily and I had a girl's weekend while Shawn went camping with some friends.  We decided to bake a cake this morning.  Emily was such a great helper.

Don't worry, the scissors were only there for a second.

And just a few random things I wanted to remember.  My cousin got Emily a hula skirt and lei's for Christmas and Emily loves to wear them around the house.   

When I picked Emily up from school on Friday, her teacher was telling me about the song that they sang that day.  All the kids were in a circle and the teacher would call out each child's name during the song.   For example, she would say "Emily, Emily jump up and down. Emily, Emily turn around".  Well, after it was Emily's turn and the teacher went on to the next child, Emily went and stood in front of the teacher so she would call Emily's name out again.  The teacher said she kept doing this.
