Big Changes

There have been lots of big changes going on in our house this week.  Dr. G wanted Emily weaned off the bottle by her 15 month appt.  With it coming up in only 2 weeks, I knew it was time to get rid of them (more so, so Dr. G didn't yell at me.  :) ) So as of Monday, Emily is officially off the bottles.  Woohoo!  I think she misses them, as she was pretty attached, but I knew it was time.  She still gets 4 oz. of the toddler formula morning and night, but it's given in a sippy cup now.  And she really isn't interested in it much anymore, so we're going to finish up our last can of formula and that will be it!

When we took Em to the dr. on Sunday, they weighed her and she has finally hit the 20 lb mark, barely, but she did!  So we decided to turn her big carseat around to face forward.  We also ordered her another big girl seat for Shawn's car.  It should be here this week and once it is, we'll be putting away her infant seat!  I'm glad we were able to get so much use out of her infant seat, but I think she'll enjoy being in a big girl seat facing forward.
