We're Still Here

Yes, we're still alive at the Baxter house.  Barely, but we're still here.  Sorry for my lack of posts.  This last week, especially, has been a tough one.  Emily came down with a cold a couple of weeks ago and I caught it from her.  I assumed I just got a cold too, but after a week and it still not going away, I figured it was more.  After coming home Monday night from work and just feeling exhausted and my whole body aching, I made a dr.'s appt. for Tuesday.  I ended up with an upper respiratory infection and my asthma had gotten pretty bad.  So I ended up on antibiotics, a steroid inhaler, and an asthma inhaler.  I spent Tuesday afternoon in bed, as well as all day Wednesday.  Just as I was starting to feel better Wednesday night, I either got hit with a stomach bug or my dr. thought it might be my system not reacting well to all the new medicine.  I spent most of Wednesday night extremely nauseous and throwing up.  So that put me back in bed all day Thursday.  Luckily I was finally able to be up and about on Friday, which was a good thing since we were hosting Christmas Eve at our house for Shawn's dad and family.  Yesterday for Christmas we were busy all day traveling to my parent's house and then Shawn's mom's house.  Oh and on top of all that, Shawn's uncle passed away last week, so he headed out this morning to Iowa to attend the funeral.  He'll be back late Tuesday night and then we have friend's coming in town to stay with us starting on Wednesday.  So that's my excuse for the lack of posts.  I'm still exhausted from being sick and then just on the go the last couple of days.  I do have lots to catch up on though, so bare with me as I try to get them all up over the next several days.
