At the beginning of November, we spent 4 days in Mesa / Phoenix, AZ for a soccer tourney for Em. This was her first airplane travel tourney and I think it's safe to say she had a blast with all her teammates. They didn't have the results we were hoping for, but I think it was a great experience for them. They got to play a team from Arizona, Tennessee and Ohio. As a team manager, I was in charge of planning the itinerary which was a bit stressful! But everything went smoothly.
Our first full day we went to Rudy's for lunch.
The field complex the girls played at was amazing. There were over 30 turf soccer fields and each field had its own scoreboard/ video screen. It sure was different scenery than we're used to. Playing soccer with mountains in the background was pretty nice! And the sunsets were gorgeous.
We went to Organ Stop Pizza one night for dinner. This was quite the place. It was dinner and a show! The girls enjoyed making song requests.
Another night we went to OHSO in downtown Gilbert. This was such a cute area with lots of restaurants all within walking distance of each other.
