November Little Things

Here are all the little things we were up to November:

Evan is always "creating."  He's building things with legos or boxes, doing a science experiment, something creative.  I find things all over the house.  This day I came home to a robot he made out of boxes.

Em had a pep rally at school and the cheerleaders performed a few cheers and a dance.

We went to my parents house to celebrate October bdays (we have 3 on my side of the family) and these 2 cousins took some pics together.

Evan broke his thumb!  He was standing on a step stool, with pillows on top of it, trying to get a balloon to stay up on the vent.  He fell and smacked it into the wall.  We weren't sure it was broken or just bruised at first, but after a day and it still being sore/bruised we took him in for x-rays and confirmed it was indeed broken.  He had to get a soft cast for a week because it was too swollen for a regular cast, but then wore a hard cast for 3 weeks after.  Funny story. . .the day he broke it, he went on to play in a hockey game and score a goal!

Em finished up cross country.  Her second track meet was in the POURING down rain.  It was miserable.  She still did great though.  The last meet was districts and it was cold.  I bet there were 150 ish girls running.  Em placed 32.  She needs to work a bit on her pacing, as she still had lots in the tank at the end of each race, but I was so proud of her for trying a new sport.  I bet she tries it again in 8th grade.

While Em and I were in Tulsa for soccer, Shawn and Evan enjoyed a sushi/ramen dinner one night.

We celebrated Thanksgiving over at Mimi and Papa's house.

The weekend after Thanksgiving, Buddy made his return and brought breakfast and advent calendars with him.

The kids decorated gingerbread houses.
