August meant the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. It also meant sports really kicked into gear.
We started the month off at my Aunt Ann's 80th birthday party.
Emily had a week of 2-a-days for soccer at the beginning of August. With the heat, it was a tough week! Here is Em's team, along with the boys from another one of her coaches teams too.
Shawn stayed home with the kids 1 day during the last week of summer. After he banned the kids from the ipad's, they played legos together and then he took them to Pinstack.
Evan had a baseball practice one night and it was super hot. You can see the sweat on his shirt!
I took Em to get her hair cut before school started and one night she tried on a few outfits to decide which one to wear on the first day of school.
Emily had back to back soccer tournaments in August. It was so hot, but they played so well. The first tournament, they won 1 game, tied 1 game and lost 1 game. It was a great way to start their first time ever playing together as a team.
The next weekend they played in the Plano Premier placement tournament. Despite the heat, they played awesome. They won all 3 games with shutouts in each one. With their wins, they clinched a spot in division 1.
We went to my parents house for dinner and swimming for my birthday.
Evan had a baseball scrimmage one Sunday afternoon. They didn't win, but it was good practice before kicking off the season.
Evan lost his third tooth in a just a few weeks, toward the end of the month. He looks like a little jack-o-lantern now.
