8 Years!

Shawn and I celebrated our 8th anniversary at the end of March.  We hadn't planned on doing anything to celebrate since we figured our kids free trip later this summer would count, but when my friend, Courtney, offered to watch our kiddos, we couldn't turn her down.  We brought the kiddos over around 4:00 one afternoon and we went and parked ourselves on the patio at a restaurant and had dinner and drinks and then went over to a wine bar afterwards.  It was so nice to be able to sit and talk without having kids interrupting us. 

We sure look a lot older than we did 8 years ago!

Court sent lots of pics to keep us updated on what the kids were doing.  They looked like they were having so much fun, I wasn't sure they would want to leave!  We were really so appreciative of them watching our kids so we could have a rare date night.  Now we just need to repay the favor.

Dinner time!  Seriously, these kids had it made!  We joked with Court that poor G was on the B team being back there on the top row by herself.

We brought cupcakes for the kids to enjoy after dinner. . .they were super brave and let them eat them in their media room.

Grace put on nail polish. . .yep, I think at this point they were just thrilled we brought cupcakes.  :)  Don't worry, we brought some wine for Court and Grant too.  Figured with 4 kids, they would need it.

Emily informed they she no longer likes Disney movies (say what??) so they let her pick the movies.
