Conversations With Evan

Evan was climbing a bar stool in KK's kitchen last weekend and I told him to be careful.  He said "I'm just laddering."

There was a black mark on the wall behind Evan's kitchen chair from where he must have pushed the chair into the wall.  When Shawn asked him what the mark was, he said "oh, maybe just a nail or something?"

Evan is still quite the cookie monster.  We had cookie cake and a tin full of cookies sitting on the kitchen counter, left over from Shawn's birthday.  I was upstairs putting laundry away one morning and walked downstairs to find Evan on top of his chair at the counter, stuffing his mouth with 2 cookies.  This boy can't be left alone with cookies or other sweets!

When he wakes up in the mornings and from his naps, he yells out from his crib, "Mommy, Daddy, I'm ready for you."
